OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

Police responded to a 911 call from a residence on Mason Street reporting that a man had injured himself with a knife. Officers arrived and removed other occupants from the home. Colin Barthelemy exited the residence and approached officers while holding a knife. Officers attempted to use less-lethal force, but it was ineffective. An officer then opened fire, striking him. He died from his injuries. The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the shooting.
