On 04/26/2026, Houston police responded to reports of gunfire at a business in the 13600 block of the East Freeway. Police reported that a man was breaking into vehicles in the parking lot before employees went outside. The man then fired shots and followed employees into the business. Officers arrived and encountered the man inside. Police opened fire, striking him. He died following the shooting.
