OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 05/03/2026, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 12:30 p.m. to a gas station in the 6000 block of East Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman after reports of an erratic driver who damaged a gas pump. Deputies contacted the man and told him he was under arrest. Police said the man then pulled out a weapon during the encounter. A deputy opened fire, striking and killing him. The man was pronounced dead following the shooting. Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
