On 05/05/2026, officers with the Amesbury Police Department attempted to stop a Toyota RAV4 for speeding on Hillside Avenue. Police said the driver initially pulled over on Sparhawk Street but drove away before officers could make contact. Police chased the vehicle for approximately two minutes through Amesbury before the SUV crashed at the intersection of Elm Street and Route 110. Beiker Alexander Guerrero Perez, who was riding in the back seat, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was struck by another vehicle. He died from his injuries. Police arrested driver Yenciel Soto, 18, along with passengers Felix Agramonte, 24, and Iran Soto-Custodio, 29, on multiple drug trafficking and pursuit-related charges.
