A 63 year old woman called 911 and reported that her husband, Kevin LaPage, was chasing her on Highway 1 near Elmwood while driving a separate pickup truck. The caller told dispatchers that LaPage rammed her vehicle multiple times and attempted to run her off the road during the rolling domestic disturbance. Cass County deputies and Nebraska State Patrol troopers responded to the area. Authorities said LaPage later drove off the roadway, entered a field, and crashed into an outbuilding. Deputies used a drone to examine the wrecked truck before approaching. LaPage was found dead inside the vehicle. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
