On 06/02/2026, officers with the Columbus Division of Police responded to a domestic violence call at a residence in the 800 block of Wilson Avenue on the east side of Columbus. Police stated that Isawan Foster was involved in a dispute with a woman and another man, later identified as Brandon Wade. Investigators reported that Wade was arrested on charges of domestic violence and assault. According to police, officers encountered Foster outside the residence and a confrontation followed. Police stated that Foster had a gun and officers opened fire, killing him. Foster was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was requested to conduct an independent investigation into the shooting.
