On 06/04/2026, Ogden Police officers responded to reports of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Madison Avenue. Multiple officers arrived and were allowed into the apartment, where they encountered an active struggle between two adult men. Police reported that one man appeared to be actively stabbing the other when officers entered. An officer fired his department-issued handgun, striking the apparent aggressor. The 64-year-old man died at the scene. The stabbing victim was transported to a hospital in critical but stable condition. Police stated that the deceased man was a parole fugitive with an active felony parole warrant. The Weber County Critical Incident Investigation Team was activated to conduct an independent investigation. The involved officer was placed on administrative leave.
