On 06/05/2026, Anaheim Police officers investigating a suspected narcotics transaction attempted to contact the driver of a vehicle. Police reported that the driver fled and led officers on a high-speed pursuit through Orange County. During the pursuit, investigators said the driver attempted to strike pursuing officers with the vehicle. The pursuit ended at the Fullerton Park and Ride Lot, where the vehicle crashed into a concrete pillar. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to a hospital with injuries. The California Highway Patrol and Anaheim Police Department are investigating the incident.
