On 05/16/2026, multiple people were shot during a large disturbance near North Broadway and Calvary Avenue in St. Louis. Two people were killed and several others were wounded during the gunfire.

According to police, officers later located a vehicle connected to the shooting and attempted a stop. The driver did not stop and police escalated a chase. The pursuit crossed the McKinley Bridge into Illinois before ending after a crash.
