OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/11/2026, FBI agents attempted to serve an arrest warrant at the Town Motel in the 5200 block of Brook Road in Henrico County. Agents attempted to take a man into custody after directing him to exit a motel room. During the encounter, the man exchanged gunfire with FBI agents, and an FBI SWAT agent shot him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was struck by gunfire and transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No law enforcement officers were injured. The shooting is under review by the FBI's Inspection Division.
