On 06/21/2026, Memphis Police Department officers attempted to stop a reported stolen Honda Accord. The driver did not stop and continued driving, leading officers on a pursuit through southeast Memphis. The pursuit lasted approximately five miles before the Honda entered the intersection of Hickory Hill Road and Knight Arnold Road, where it collided with another vehicle. The Honda overturned, ejecting the driver, identified as 30-year-old Bradley Michael Swink, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital in non-critical condition. A passenger in the Honda was detained. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
