On 06/24/2026, officers with the Memphis Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle. According to police, the driver continued driving, leading officers on a pursuit through northeast Memphis. The pursuit ended when the fleeing vehicle crashed near the intersection of Summer Avenue and White Station Road. One adult male died as a result of the crash, and two juveniles were injured. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or clarified whether he was the driver, a passenger, or another person involved in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
