On 06/27/2026, deputies with the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance near South Dexter Street and East Caley Place in Centennial. Police stated that the man was armed with a metal pole and advanced toward deputies despite commands. Deputies shot the man. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. The Critical Incident Response Team is investigating the shooting.
