On 06/26/2026, deputies with the Cache County Sheriff's Office attempted a traffic stop on Roger Dean Campbell in connection with a domestic violence investigation near 1500 West 600 South in Logan. Police stated Campbell drove away, struck multiple patrol vehicles, and deputies fired their weapons during the encounter. Campbell's vehicle then crashed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
