On 06/26/2026, deputies with the Knox County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop Andrew Seth Henderlight near Strawberry Plains Pike and East Governor John Sevier Highway. Police stated Henderlight did not stop, leading deputies on a pursuit that lasted about 30 minutes and ended in the 7800 block of Kodak Road. During the encounter at the end of the pursuit, deputies shot Henderlight. He died at the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting.
