OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/27/2026, officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to a domestic violence call at a residence near 35th Avenue and Greenway Road. Police stated that a man armed with a knife came out of the home and chased another man in the driveway. Officers ordered him to drop the knife, but he continued advancing while chasing the other man. Officers shot him. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the shooting.
