OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/28/2026, deputies with the Redwood County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations on County Road 7 near Belview. The driver, later identified as 64-year-old Francis Albert Rohlik of Redwood Falls, accelerated away, leading deputies on a pursuit of approximately three miles. Near the intersection of County Road 7 and 400th Street, Rohlik lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over. He was ejected from the vehicle. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid, but Rohlik was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
