Event : Motorcycle driver killed by police chase crash

OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 07/02/2026, a 20-year-old man died after crashing a moped into a brick wall following a Baltimore police traffic stop. Officers attempted to stop two mopeds in the 100 block of N. Eutaw Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. One rider stopped, while the other continued driving away. Police said officers did not pursue the fleeing rider. Less than a mile away, the rider crashed into a brick wall in the 600 block of W. Franklin Street and was ejected from the moped. He was transported to a hospital, where he died. The Baltimore Police Crash Team assumed control of the investigation. The man's identity and the names of the involved officers have not been released.
