On 07/05/2026, Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a reported fight in the alley behind the Sand Bar at 415 North Spring Street. According to police, officers attempted to break up the fight when Timothy Terrell Christian Jr., 27, became involved in an exchange of gunfire. Police stated that Christian shot a Shreveport police officer, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Officers returned fire, striking Christian multiple times.
