On 07/05/2026, San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 15400 block of Linderos Street in Victorville after receiving reports that Willie Blair, 46, was acting erratically and violently toward family members. Deputies found Blair seated inside a vehicle in the driveway and believed he appeared to be under the influence of drugs, prompting them to request emergency medical personnel. During the encounter, deputies reported that Blair became uncooperative, exited the vehicle, and moved toward a deputy. Deputies deployed a Taser, restrained Blair, and transported him to a hospital for treatment related to his apparent drug impairment and behavior. Blair later died at the hospital while in custody. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Specialized Investigations Division is conducting the investigation. An autopsy in Riverside County will determine the cause and manner of death.
