OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 07/07/2026, Casselberry Police Department officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by a suspected drug trafficker. The driver continued driving, leading officers on a pursuit through Casselberry. During the pursuit, the fleeing vehicle entered the intersection of U.S. Highway 17-92 and State Road 436 and collided with another vehicle. The occupants of the other vehicle were trapped inside and died at the scene. The fleeing driver was hospitalized with serious injuries and taken into custody. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is assisting with the investigation.
