On 07/05/2026, Beaverton Police Department officers responded to an armed robbery at the Nectar cannabis dispensary at 8705 SW Hall Boulevard. Officers located a man believed to be involved in the robbery a short time later. During the encounter, officers shot and killed 25-year-old Bryson Hays. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers or bystanders were reported injured. Investigators stated a firearm was recovered. The Washington County Major Crimes Team is investigating the shooting.
