OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 07/16/2026, members of the U.S. Marshals Service and Pensacola Police Department attempted to serve a manslaughter arrest warrant on 20-year-old Trevon Bradley in connection with the July 5, 2026, downtown Pensacola mass shooting that killed Phillip Sheppard Jr. and wounded six others. Police surrounded Bradley's apartment, announced their presence, and safely evacuated a woman and child from the residence. Bradley remained inside and did not surrender. During the standoff, multiple gunshots were heard from inside the apartment. Officers later deployed a remote-controlled camera into the apartment and found Bradley dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
