On 07/19/2026, King County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of a man armed with a firearm in the area of South 192nd Street and 16th Avenue South in SeaTac. Deputies encountered 33-year-old Frank Huy Ho during the incident. An exchange of gunfire occurred between deputies and Ho. Ho sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
The King County Medical Examiner later determined that Ho died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and ruled the manner of death a suicide. The medical examiner concluded that the fatal wound was not caused by law enforcement.
The Valley Independent Investigative Team assumed responsibility for the investigation, which is standard procedure for police shootings involving King County Sheriff's Office deputies.
