OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 08/01/2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Gilbert Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence near Lindsay Road and Elliot Road. Officers reported hearing a woman screaming and encountered a man matching the suspect description. The man ran into a residence where officers found two injured victims and pursued him into a bedroom, where officers shot him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers located three stabbing victims on the property. One male victim died at the scene, one female victim later died at a hospital, and a second female survived with injuries. The East Valley Critical Incident Response Team, led by the Mesa Police Department, is investigating the shooting.
