Upon arrival, officers encountered a woman actively stabbing a man with a knife. Officers fired a taser, wear upon she moved toward police. Officers open fire and killed her. The man died from injuries at the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.

On 02/13/2025, a Blackshear Police Department officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Corey Ray Beale. Beale did not stop. Police escalated a chase that entered Brantley County. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office and Georgia State Patrol joined the chase. On February 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a Gwinnett County Police Department officer was driving east on Beaver Ruin Road near the I-85 interchange in Norcross, Georgia. During this time, 19-year-old Martinez Greenlee III reportedly began crossing the road. The officer's vehicle struck Greenlee. Greenlee was transported to a local hospital by Gwinnett Fire and EMS personnel but died from his injuries. IP addresses are easy to change and the email appears to have been a hoax.

On 12/05/2024, at approximately 1:05 a.m., a Greyhound bus traveling south on Interstate 75 near Cleveland Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, made an unscheduled stop after a passenger, identified as 39-year-old Robert McVay from Maryland, allegedly stabbed another passenger, causing a non-life-threatening injury.

On November 22, 2024, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the Floyd County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office to serve arrest warrants on 52-year-old Charles H. Woodall. The warrants included charges of entering auto, rape, and incest. Authorities determined that Woodall was staying at a residence off Ficklen Church Way near Canton, Georgia.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., a Coweta County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a Chrysler 300 for a registration violation on Highway 29 near Tommy Lee Cook Road. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Jason Andre Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, failed to stop, initiating a high-speed pursuit reaching speeds up to 110 mph. The chase continued into Fulton County, where deputies executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver on Roosevelt Highway, disabling Wilson’s vehicle.

Following the maneuver, deputies deployed K-9 Titan to apprehend Wilson. Wilson opened fire, fatally shooting K-9 Titan and grazing a deputy. Deputies returned fire, striking and killing Wilson. The injured deputy received medical treatment and was later released from the hospital.

K-9 Titan had served with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office for over five years, contributing to locating missing persons, identifying illegal drugs, and apprehending multiple offenders.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is conducting an independent investigation into the incident. Upon completion, the case file will be submitted to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for review.

On November 12, 2024, at approximately 11:14 p.m., deputies from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Anthony Wayne Holcomb of Chattanooga, Tennessee, for a traffic violation on Highway 27, just north of Summerville. Holcomb did not stop. Deputies escalated a chase through Summerville, with speeds exceeding 100 mph. Near the Trade Day area, Holcomb lost control, and his vehicle crashed into a fenced cemetery. Deputies discovered approximately 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. A loaded handgun was found under Holcomb's hand in his lap. Holcomb was pronounced dead at the scene. The Georgia State Patrol is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are awaiting reports from the Georgia Medical Examiner’s Office at the state crime lab.

On October 30, 2024, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Conyers Police Department officers responded to a 911 call from a clerk at the Chevron gas station located at 1135 Sigman Road. The clerk reported that a patron, identified as 40-year-old Jesse Roach of Carrollton, Georgia, had threatened him with a gun.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Roach inside the store. As they attempted to detain and identify him, Roach pushed past the officers and exited the store. An officer deployed a taser, but Roach removed the taser probes. He then allegedly drew a firearm from his pocket and fired at the officers. The officers returned fire, striking Roach. He was transported to Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle turned onto Magnolia Street, continuing southbound at high speeds. As the vehicle approached a set of railroad tracks, it accelerated, became airborne, and crashed upon landing. The pursuing troopers found the driver inside the vehicle with head and facial injuries. Three male passengers, including 17-year-old Quantavius Vicks, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Troopers found loaded firearms inside the vehicle. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.

On October 22, 2024, just before 5:00 p.m., Lawrenceville Police Department investigators located Terrell Laron Hoggro, 59, at the Quality Inn on Northeast Expressway in Chamblee, Georgia. Hoggro was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses related to recent armed robberies in Lawrenceville. As officers conducted surveillance and coordinated resources for his arrest, Hoggro exited a motel room. Officers immediately attempted to arrest him. Hoggro drew a handgun from his waistband and raised it toward the officers. Lawrenceville Police Department officers fired at Hoggro, striking him. Hoggro was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. On October 21, 2024, Bainbridge Public Safety officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Keuntae ZyQuil Stewart on Georgia State Route 300. Stewart did not stop. Officers escalated the situation into a high-speed pursuit. During the chase, officers executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, causing Stewart's vehicle to lose control and crash. Stewart was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries as a result. Police did not comment why the aggressive pursuit was initiated. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.
