The pursuit ended when the sedan crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Fort Smallwood Road and Bar Harbor Road. The passenger, 22-year-old Damione Gardner of Baltimore, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Following the incident, both officers made factual misrepresentations and material omissions about their involvement in the pursuit. A subsequent investigation by the Maryland Attorney General's Office's Independent Investigations Division led to the indictment of Corporal Schnell and Corporal Vasquez on charges of misconduct in office.

A driver called 911 at about 1:40 p.m. Sunday to report a driver in a black BMW following their car and “firing shots.” Morningside PD saw a BMW that matched the description at the intersection of Suitland and Allentown roads and chased the vehicle untilthe driver lost control and hit a third party motorist in a Ford in the northbound turning lane. The third party motorist in the Ford was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died in the hospital Tuesday.

Morningside Park PD chased a vehicle into a massive crash during which third party motorist Rogelio Sanchez Gomez was killed. Gomez had been a hardworking stonemason. He had had his two young sons in the car with him when killed by the police chase crash. The condition of the children is unknown.

Montgomery County deputies received a call that someone had stabbed 4 people. Police arrived in the 4300 block of Harvard Street and found him with a knife. He was shot and killed by Officer Justin Lee.

The same officer Justin Lee, a MAGA Trump supporter, was suspended without pay in October of 2023 for his involvement in the J6 attack on the Capitol. Officer Lee was documented to attack other police officers during the J6 event. Story also linked below. He was arrested, not for the murder of Ordonez, but for his prior involvement in January 6 in D.C. Arrested on Thursday, Oct. 19. 2023.

A release from the D.C. United States attorney’s office said that Lee, who is from Rockville, Md., was facing “felony offenses of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers” as well as several other misdemeanor offenses. He was facing a total of seven counts, according to his federal indictment.

It is unclear why he was allowed back on the beat after storming the Capitol but because he was sent back to work undisciplined, Franklin Castro Ordonez died.

Police allege that they were driving patrol when Darryl Gamble fired at them twice from a semiautomatic weapon, hitting the patrol car. Darryl Gamble, 40, was to appear in court with an officer testifying against him. That same officer ended up being one of the shooters who killed him on Wednesday night before he could go to court. There was a warrant for his arrest at the time of his death for drug possession and the officers who were on patrol that night and killed him were drug enforcement cops.
