OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On January 8, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Baltimore Police Department's Foxtrot unit, an aerial surveillance team providing real-time support, identified a vehicle with stolen registration tags traveling through the Western District. Officers attempted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of West Franklin Street, but the vehicle accelerated, initiating a high-speed pursuit.

The fleeing vehicle collided with the bystander’s vehicle, resulting in the death of the 53-year-old male driver of the bystander vehicle. Three men fled on foot; two were apprehended, with one requiring hospitalization. The C.R.A.S.H. Team is investigating the incident.
