Sonny Vincent, 36, was killed after officers with St. Charles County’s Multi-Jurisdictional Auto Theft Task Force tried to stop the car Vincent was in in the area of I-70 and Hwy 79 late Tuesday night because it was reported stolen in St. Louis County.
Police said they then used spike strips near Hwy 70 and Hwy Z in an attempt to stop the vehicle and Vincent continued westbound on Hwy 70 until the car left the roadway and came to a stop.
Two people got out of the car and according to the St. Charles Multi-Jurisdictional Auto Theft Task Force and claimed that Vincent pointed a gun in the direction of officers as he crossed West Pearce Blvd. Two task force shooters fired shots, killing Vincent. No officers were charged.

A Task Force for high-risk apprehensions investigating Daniel Joseph Sangrey was looking for him on a no-bond warrant. He allegedly fled on foot with a weapon. Police shot and killed him during the foot chase. No more details were given.

Billings PD pulled over Michael Morado and alleged that he started shooting at them. It is unknown why there were so many officers but there are 13 officers listed as having fired and shot and killed him. One of the shooter officers, Harley Cagle, had previously killed Frank Joey Half, Jr. in 2017.

Billings police and Montana Highway Patrol were called to an incident where someone allegedly had a gun. Boone County deputies were called for a vehicle stolen from a parking lot that had children inside. The man seem to realize this and did abandon the car quickly before fleeing on foot. Deputies were contacted when someone matching his description try to steal a second car. Police attempted to stop him and he drove away. He fled by vehicle and then on foot. Police that he “showed” a weapon. Police shot and killed him during the foot chase. He is believed to not have fired any shots.

On October 20, 2021, around 11:37 p.m., a Missoula Police Department officer observed a white Honda Civic speeding at approximately 60 to 70 mph in a 25-mph zone. An attempt to stop the vehicle led to a pursuit after the driver, Kemari D. Parks, aged 20, made a quick turn and initially evaded the officer. The vehicle was later spotted, and as police approached, Parks accelerated through a parking lot, with a second person, J.M., in the passenger seat. Police continue to chase including into oncoming traffic and through red lights, until Parks crashed into a parked car, leading to further collisions. J.M., the passenger, died in the crash.

On 07/15/2021, officers from multiple agencies pursued a man wanted on homicide and kidnapping charges from Great Falls along U.S. Highway 2 toward West Glacier. Police escalated the chase through Flathead County until the vehicle stopped near the Cascadia Flat River Access area. Under unclear circumstances, officers opened fire and killed him. On April 23, 2021, Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office deputies, alongside a SWAT team, responded to a standoff situation involving 26-year-old Michael Lee McClure in Billings, Montana. The incident began in the late afternoon after McClure barricaded himself inside a residence on Ridgewood Lane South. Law enforcement initiated a standoff that lasted approximately nine hours.Deputies arrived at the scene following reports of an armed individual threatening others. McClure refused to exit the residence or surrender, prompting the deployment of the Yellowstone County SWAT team.

On February 26, 2021, Kalispell Police responded to reports of a red SUV ramming multiple vehicles. The vehicle was found unoccupied at a gas station. Isaiah Strong allegedly assaulted Officer Brady Gray inside the gas station after emerging from the bathroom, using a wooden object to strike her. He then attacked another individual in the store before assaulting the officer again, hitting her in the upper body and head. On January 25, 2021, at around 7 p.m., a trooper from the Montana Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop at MT-35 and Turtle Mountain Road in Creston. Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper identified that the driver, Mark Johnston Parker, was in possession of a weapon. During the interaction, the trooper used a Taser during the critical incident. Parker shot and killed himself after the attack.
