Laurens County Sheriff’s Office deputies tried to serve a warrant on Indian Mound Road in Laurens on Keith William Dramstad, 57, of the residence at 2221 Indian Mound Road. Dramstad presented “what appeared to be a weapon” and locked himself in the mobile home.” The LCSO SWAT team was called in and set off several explosive devicesincluding apparent tear gas grenades and “flash-bang” grenades and deputies breached the front door of the residence and found Dramstad with a self-inflicted cross bow wound. He had committed suicide under police duress.

A man called NYPD and said someone was breaking into the home of his elderly uncle in Brooklyn. Police arrived and the elderly man opened the door to police with a gun. Police fired shots at him through the door immediately, hitting the man six times and killing him. Police had inadvertently shot and killed the homeowner who had worried about a burglary and responded by opening the door slightly with a gun for this reason. There was a strong reaction in the neighborhood for this senseless police killing. The man was much loved in the area, was known to sit in coffee shops and help kids with homework and had looked out for the neighborhood.

The chase ended on Barrington Street where he allegedly pointed a shotgun at officers. Officers Christian DeVinney, Clayton Hillegeer, Alexandra Baker, William Baker and Kevin Leckinger shot and killed him. Police claim to have “called off the chase” at 1:44 a.m. Shortly thereafter, troopers found Benn crashed in Knox, NY.He had sustained severe injuries and died in the hospital shortly thereafter. Around 11:56 p.m. on 10/05/2023, deputies were called to the 5000 block of Majors Drive in the town of Onondaga for reports of a burglary that occurred while a resident was at home. Onondaga deputies called in their Air 1 helicopter as well as Syracuse PD. Police saw two vehicles speeding away that were later determined to be stolen in another burglary.
Deputies attempted a traffic stop on both vehicles but both vehicles failed to stop and police escalated a chase. During the chase, the first vehicle crashed in the 300 block of East Seneca Turnpike after running off the road, hitting a tree and rolling over several times. The driver was ejected from the car and died. Police did not publicly identify him nor provide video evidence.

Jamie Feith was involved in some sort of domestic dispute for which police were sent. Police claimed that she held a pocket knife and attempted to attack them. Police used a taser and then shot and killed her. She had been a mother of 3.
Police released a body cam video in which she is seen holding something small in her hands that she is apparently trying to open which was identified as a pocket knife. The screenshots from the body cam do not suggest that she is any risk to police. While police attacked her with tasers and multiple deliberately lethal gunshots, her domestic partner is heard, begging police not to kill her who did so despite this. After police had fired several shots into her center mass at close range, he is heard yelling at the police not to kill him also. From the family’s standpoint, this killing should have been entirely avoidable. No officers were charged, and all shooter officers were cleared quickly.
