On 12/20/2024, Oklahoma City Police Department officers responded to a disturbance involving a man on Bayberry Drive near N. Rockwell Ave. and W. Hefner Rd. Upon arrival, the man allegedly ambushed police. Police engaged in a shootout during which the man was pronounced dead. A teenager was also killed. A second teenager and an officer were injured and survived.

On December 20, 2024, at approximately 1:14 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 6600 block of Bayberry Drive in northwest Oklahoma City. Upon arrival, officers were met with gunfire by 43-year-old Jerry Yang.
During the exchange, two juveniles inside the home were struck by gunfire from Yang; one, 15-year-old Abel Her, died from his injuries, while the other is expected to recover. Officer Justin Van Brunt, a five-year veteran of the force, was also injured during the incident and is expected to recover.

Yang, who had a history of domestic-related offenses and protective orders filed against him, turned the gun on himself, resulting in his death. The incident is under investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department.

On 12/17/2024, at approximately 2:30 PM, Tulsa Police Department officers initiated a chase of a teenager in an allegedly stolen truck. Police escalated speeds above 100 miles per hour until the fleeing vehicle crashed at the intersection of 31st Street and Garnett Road, killing a woman in another truck.

On 11/29/2024, officers from the Broken Arrow Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance near Gary Street and Lions Avenue in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Upon arrival, police encountered a man with a machete. During the interaction, an officer discharged their firearm, striking the man. He was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. A teenager related to the domestic disturbance was taken into custody. The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave. The incident remains under investigation.

On November 25, 2024, Mannford Police initiated an aggressive vehicle chase against Crystal Marie Price over a paper license plate. Oklahoma Highway Patrol joined the pursuit. The chase lasted approximately 36 minutes through rural Creek County. Troopers falsely claimed Price had swerved toward them, but body camera footage shows she did not veer or attempt to strike any officer. Trooper Robert Darnell then used a Tactical Vehicle Intervention maneuver to deliberately ram her car, forcing it off the road and into a tree. Crystal Price was killed instantly. OHP policy discourages high-speed chases and tactical maneuvers for nonviolent misdemeanors like paper tag violations. Despite clear contradictions between troopers' reports and video evidence, no disciplinary action has been reported.

On October 28, 2024, at around 3:30 p.m., officers with the Tulsa Police Department responded to a call about a 36-year-old man experiencing a mental health crisis. Upon arriving, the man was reportedly armed. After entering his vehicle, he returned outside holding a handgun, which he pointed at the officers. The officers shot and killed him. The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues​.
