Camphill PD and North Middleton Township PD arrived at the home of Roger Wayne Ellis on Brittany Drive in North Middleton Township with an arrest warrant. He left and police escalated a car chase into Camphill where he allegedly shot an officer. Vincenzo Rudi was fighting with another man and allegedly threatened him with a gun. The other man called Philadelphia PD. On 10/19/2021, Pocono Township Police Department officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Bartonsville around 10:40 PM. The vehicle, occupied by Betty Jane Tibaldi and her husband, Nello Tibaldi, did not stop. Police escalated a chase, deploying spike strips that disabled the vehicle on Route 611 near Shine Hill Rd. The couple refused to exit the vehicle, and officers learned they had a gun. The Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) was called to assist. After police escalated a standoff, Nello Tibaldi exited the vehicle, handing the firearm to Betty Jane Tibaldi. She then pointed the gun and fired at troopers. Officers opened fire, striking her. On 08/24/2021, a 911 call was made around 6:54 a.m. reporting an erratic man jumping in and out of traffic on the 300 block of West Jefferson Street in Butler City, Pennsylvania. Officers from the Butler City Police Department arrived at 6:57 a.m. Upon encountering John Ebberts, a physical altercation ensued. During the struggle, Ebberts reportedly stabbed the officer multiple times, prompting the officer to fatally shoot Ebberts around 6:59 a.m. The incident remains under investigation.

On July 22, 2021, around 6:30 p.m., a large fight erupted in the 3000 block of North Water Street in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. Carlos Rodriguez, 40, produced a handgun and allegedly began firing into the crowd, with two shots directed toward responding plainclothes officers. On June 23, 2021, around 8:00 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police attempted to stop a 2004 Nissan Titan driven by Daryl J. Gakin, 34, of Spearfish, South Dakota, near mile marker 178 on Interstate 80 in Lamar Township, Clinton County. Gakin continued to drive, and officers escalated a high-speed chase for approximately 12 miles that ended near mile marker 165.7 in Marion Township, Centre County. Gakin's vehicle exited the roadway, struck a guardrail, and rolled over multiple times during the chase. Gakin was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Near the intersection of Route 248 and Jandy Boulevard, Nguyen lost control, traveled into the opposite lane, clipped a Toyota RAV4, collided with a Mercedes SUV, and then crashed into a concrete barrier. He died in the crash. A bystander driver in the Mercedes was moderately injured. The officers involved were cleared of any wrongdoing.

Police responded to a 911 hang-up call at a residence. William Michael Kradlak Jr. exited the home. Officers escalated a standoff. Kradlak fired a handgun toward officers. Police opened fire and killed him.
