Auburn PD responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Griswold Court and saw a black vehicle leaving the area. Officers tried to pull it over and troopers and DeKalb County Sheriff's deputies joined Auburn police in chasing the vehicle south of the city. Police placed spike strips on County Road 51 and State Road 8 but the vehicle kept going at a on CR 51 at a slow speed. Police heard shots fired. Police found a man unconscious and a woman in the driver’s seat, both gravely injured. Both died.

A man in southeast Colorado shot three people, killing two, at the Lamar Apartments in the 700 block of Mullen Street and then died by suicide after a police chase Saturday, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Granada PD spotted the man’s vehicle and chased it with multiple other officers. Officers with the neighboring Hamilton County Sheriff’s office in Kansas came into Colorado and put out stop sticks to try to stop the vehicle. The man stopped, ran into an open field and died by suicide under police duress.
