On 11/21/2025 police chased a stolen vehicle through Alhambra at very fast speeds. The fleeing driver crashed into a police vehicle at the intersection. Gabriela Moreno was riding as a passenger and was ejected during the collision. She died at the scene.

On 11/19/2025 deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded after a call that a 91-year-old man had been beaten with a brick. The suspect Kentae Govan allegedly then charged at deputies as they arrived. Officers opened fire and killed him at the scene.

On 11/18/2025 officers responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon early in the morning. They returned to the area and located Albert Benson allegedly armed with a machete. Officers attempted to de-escalate the situation and ordered him to drop the weapon. He allegedly charged at the officers, who then discharged their firearms and struck him. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

On 11/18/2025, police escalated a high-speed chase after witnessing Daniel Banville driving at very fast speeds on Route 4. After the deputy ended the pursuit, police soon discovered Banville had crashed on Federal Road. The vehicle went off the roadway, struck a mailbox, hit a utility pole, went airborne, snapped a second pole, and collided with a tree. Banville was ejected and died at the scene, and his passenger, Molly Hinkel, also died at the scene.

On 11/18/2025, police escalated a high-speed chase involving the vehicle in which Molly Hinkel was riding. On 11/18/2025, police responded to a reported shooting at a Queens-Brooklyn border apartment building in the Brownsville neighborhood. A neighbor and another occupant were found dead. Officers arrived, and during clearance of the building a man opened fire and struck an officer in the face. The officer returned fire, and the man barricaded himself in an apartment. Police used a drone and later entered the apartment and found the man dead from a gunshot wound, with a firearm nearby.

On 11/17/2025 officers responded to a domestic violence call that developed into a hostage situation. The mother called 911 stating that her son had a gun. A male voice then allegedly took over the call and said the woman was a hostage. Officers arrived and entered the scene. The man allegedly pointed a gun at police and officers opened fire and killed him.

On 11/17/2025 troopers observed a Ford Mustang traveling over 120 mph on US 70 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and police escalated a chase through multiple areas. The vehicle lost control on Pinkney Road and crashed into a tree. Braylen Newson was riding in the back seat and was ejected and killed.

On 11/17/2025 an officer observed a vehicle traveling 62 mph in a 30-mph zone and attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop and a pursuit began. The vehicle entered the wrong direction in a roundabout at Fifth Avenue South and University Drive South, crashed into a parked pickup truck and a light pole, and overturned. Yusuf was pronounced dead at the scene.

On 11/17/2025 deputies responded to a residence after the mother of the children fled with her five-year-old child and reported that her husband had threatened to kill her children. The two stepsons aged 14 and 16 were found inside the home having been shot. When deputies confronted Eric Grigsby outside the house he allegedly held two handguns and pointed them at officers. Deputies fired and struck him and he died at the scene.

On 11/17/2025 officers attempted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima. The driver refused to stop and police escalated a chase. The vehicle left the roadway on Route 20, struck a ditch, struck a mailbox and two trees, became airborne and struck another mailbox. The driver died at the scene.

On 11/17/2025, troopers saw a Ford Mustang traveling at very fast speeds and police escalated a chase that reached approximately 120 mph. The Mustang continued driving and troopers later located the crashed vehicle on Pinkney Road. It left the roadway and overturned, causing both back-seat passengers to be ejected. Joshua Jerome Carter Jr. died at the scene, and his friend Braylen Newson also died at the scene.

On 11/17/2025 in Pinehurst, Texas, deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare-check involving Shane Moresco who was reported threatening suicide with a firearm at a cemetery in Magnolia. He evaded custody, traveled into neighboring Harris County, then barricaded himself inside a bathroom of a McDonald’s at 32323 Highway 249 in Pinehurst. During attempts to negotiate his surrender, Moresco fired a single shot and died at the scene. The incident is under joint investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers, and other agencies.

On 11/17/2025, Sequatchie County deputies were searching for Johnny Michael Queen during an ongoing investigation. Officers located Queen in a wooded area in Marion County. Police escalated an armed standoff and moved in on his position. During the arrest attempt, the situation escalated and officers opened fire and killed him.

On 11/17/2025, two New York State Police troopers were conducting a traffic stop on Route 23 with emergency lights activated. Sharon L. Torres was driving a Kia westbound when her vehicle left the roadway and struck the rear of the parked patrol car, which then hit the stopped Subaru involved in the traffic stop. Both troopers were injured. Torres was unresponsive when officers reached her and she died at the scene.

On 11/17/2025, deputies responded to a reported armed robbery involving Robert Butler Jr. Police attempted a traffic stop, and Butler continued driving. Deputies escalated a chase onto Dallas Drive. Butler’s vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and he was ejected into a ditch. A patrol car came to rest on top of his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On 11/17/2025 at about 11:56 p.m., deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Porterville Police Department engaged a vehicle identified as stolen. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit occurred. The suspect vehicle rammed a patrol car, then collided with another patrol unit and crashed into the yard of a home. The vehicle caught fire. One occupant of the stolen vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene; another occupant and a deputy were hospitalized.

On 11/17/2025, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were on patrol near the Deanwood Metro station after reports of gunfire in the area. They observed David Warren Childs with what appeared to be a firearm tucked into his waistband. When approached, Childs fled on foot and officers chased him to the 1200 block of 47th Place NE. During a physical confrontation Childs reached toward the object and officers opened fire, killing him at the scene.

Deputies approached a man walking on the 8000 block of Onigum Road Northwest. During the encounter the man fired a gun at a deputy, injuring him. Deputies returned fire. The man fled into a wooded area where law enforcement located him with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is conducting an independent investigation.

On 11/16/2025, officers escalated a chase involving Tre’Sean L. Clemons in Shelby County. Police pursued the vehicle at high speed until Clemons crashed, and he died at the scene. A 19 year old female passenger from Piqua was seriously injured and was flown to Miami Valley Hospital. Officers reported that the incident began when they attempted to stop the vehicle and Clemons refused, escalating the pursuit that ended in the fatal crash.

On 11/16/2025 at approximately 9:30 p.m. law-enforcement officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Benjamin Sink who was wanted on several charges related to a domestic relationship. When the vehicle failed to stop a pursuit ensued. The vehicle was disabled on the side of the road. Sink exited and allegedly opened fire on officers. Officers returned fire and struck him. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On 11/16/2025 at approximately 2:00 a.m. troopers attempted to stop a vehicle traveling over 100 mph on GA 204. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. A trooper executed a second PIT maneuver which caused the vehicle to crash into a median wall and overturn. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

On 11/16/2025 officers with the Spokane Tribal Police attempted to make contact with a man who had active warrants. He fled on foot, jumped into the Spokane River and did not resurface. His body was located days later and he is presumed drowned.

On 11/16/2025, officers attempted to serve a federal arrest warrant in Port Angeles. The individual left the location on foot after officers made contact and police located them on 10th Street. Officers reported attempting de-escalation and using less-than-lethal force. The individual was holding an object that appeared to be a handgun. Officers opened fire and the person was taken to a hospital where they died.

On 11/15/2025, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance near South Topeka Boulevard and 113th Street in Carbondale. Within minutes of arriving officers were met with gunfire and returned fire. Stephen M. McMillan was shot and killed at the scene. Four officers were shot and injured and a seventy seven year old man at the residence was also injured. Authorities reported no continuing threat to the public.

On 11/15/2025, state police were dispatched to a home on James Street in Derry Township in response to a domestic incident involving Ryan Huinker who had reportedly fired shots from inside the residence. Officers arrived, engaged Huinker on the front porch, and issued commands for surrender. Huinker exited the home and produced a firearm. During an exchange of gunfire between Huinker and officers, Huinker was struck and died at the scene.

On 11/14/2025 just before 2 a.m., the Denver Police Department responded to a burglary-in-progress call at the Advenir at French Quarter apartments on S. Parker Road. Officers located a male inside a storage shed holding a large object that appeared to be a knife. They ordered him to drop it and exit. Instead he re-armed and advanced toward the officers and they discharged their weapons, striking and killing him.

On 11/14/2025, officers from the Orlando Police Department served a search warrant at a tattoo shop at 4864 Edgewater Drive near Lee Road targeting multiple suspects believed to have criminal histories. Officers say at approximately 2:05 p.m. a man emerged from the business armed with an AK-47 style rifle and then ran back inside. Officers fired at the man and he barricaded himself inside the business. Just after 3:00 p.m., SWAT entered the building and found the man dead inside. No officers were reported injured.

On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man in the roadway brandishing a firearm on Route 534 in Southington. Upon arrival officers approached the armed suspect. Shots were fired by officers. The suspect was transported to University Hospital in Portage County where he later died. No officers are reported injured.

After an extended period, Lindner exited the residence holding a firearm and officers opened fire and killed him at the scene. Multiple law enforcement agencies were present, but investigators have not released how many officers discharged weapons or how many rounds were fired. The incident originated when a caller reported being concerned for their safety. Lindner had a documented history of past violence including a 2019 case in which his then-wife photographed him pointing a handgun at her. That case was dismissed. Lindner was the son of Carl Lindner III who is widely known for owning the Cincinnati Reds and serving as co-CEO of American Financial Group.

On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a residential alarm at a home on Reservoir Road NW. After repeated commands for Kevin Booker to exit the home officers entered through an unlocked door. While clearing the second floor Booker advanced toward officers while holding a knife and a screwdriver and an officer opened fire and killed him.

On 11/14/2025 at about 3 a.m. officers attempted to stop a man riding a bicycle on the sidewalk for a city ordinance violation. The man fled on foot into the area of Elmendorf Lake and was pursued briefly by officers. He jumped into the lake and disappeared under the surface. Officers heard distress sounds and one entered the water but lost sight of him. His body was recovered later by Texas Game Wardens.

On 11/13/2025 a man fled from a shoplifting incident at an Aldi store in Gates. He ran onto Interstate 390 where he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The agency and involved officers are investigating the circumstances.

On 11/13/2025 just before 7 p.m., officers with the NYPD encountered a 20-year-old man on the Upper East Side after reports that he pointed a firearm at a person in an apartment building elevator and at a deli worker. He then threatened to shoot up a hospital. He fired at officers and a shootout followed. He was shot by officers, transported to hospital, and pronounced dead.

On 11/13/2025, officers from the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office attempted to detain Dennis Hoie in Bagley under a felony warrant. Hoie drove away during the stop and a pursuit followed. Police located him at his home yard in Bagley. During contact with law enforcement the situation escalated and officers fired their weapons, striking Hoie. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. •
