Samuel Vaia, 33, was accused of shooting and killing his ex-wife, Ashley Vaia, inside her Deltona home. Deputies responded to the Parma Drive residence after Ashley’s child called 911 around 2:23 a.m. Vaia fled in a white SUV, and law enforcement tracked his vehicle northbound on Interstate 95 at over 100 mph. Flagler County deputies joined the chase, which ended when Vaia crashed at Palm Harbor Parkway and Hammock Dunes Parkway in Palm Coast. Deputies approached and found him with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a hospital where he died. Vaia had been arrested on 03/23/2025 for battering Ashley but was released on bond the following day.

On March 31, 2025, Arkansas State Police engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle driven by a Black male on Interstate 55 in Memphis. During the chase, a trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI), also known as a PIT maneuver. The vehicle spun out and crashed. The man was killed as a result. This was the second fatal TVI by Arkansas State Police in the same week.

Fred Eromosele Ehimen, 49, was driving a Toyota Camry on the ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to southbound U.S. 29 in Ellicott City when Maryland State Police chased a 17-year-old driving an allegedly stolen Ford Explorer onto the ramp going the wrong way and struck him head-on. Ehimen was pronounced dead at the crash site. Police had identified the Explorer as stolen and began a pursuit involving the Frederick County Sheriff's Office and the Howard County Police Department. Police allege they called off the chase before the crash occurred. The 17-year-old driver was flown to a trauma center, and two passengers, ages 13 and 16, were hospitalized with injuries.

Daniel W. Curtin Sr., 72, was reported suicidal and armed at a home on Chartres Street in La Salle. Police established a perimeter and evacuated neighbors. Curtin exited the home several times while brandishing a handgun, fired into the air, and later fired out of a window at officers. On March 29, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., a Stuart Police Department officer responded to a report of a man acting erratically and armed with a knife at the Sierra Condominiums. Upon arrival, the officer encountered 36-year-old Kenneth Christopher Cook, who was reportedly stalking a woman with the knife. After a brief interaction, Cook retreated into his residence and emerged with a larger knife, approximately eight or nine inches in length, and charged at the officer. The officer opened fire, discharging four rounds and striking Cook twice. Cook was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. John Bruce Martinez, 19, was driving over 120 mph when North Little Rock Police and Arkansas State Police initiated a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 40. Kenneth Edward Bailey, the rapper known as Young Scooter, died on March 28, 2025—his 39th birthday—following a police pursuit in southeast Atlanta. Around 2:57 a.m. on March 28, 2025, a Marin County Sheriff's deputy attempted a traffic stop on a reckless driver near Andersen Drive and Bellam Boulevard. The man did not stop. Deputies escalated a chase that lasted two minutes before the vehicle struck a tree. The male driver was ejected and died at the crash site.

Ontario police attempted to stop a stolen silver Audi. The driver refused to stop. Officers escalated a chase from Ontario into Chino. Clarissa Cano, a 27-year-old mother of a 5-year-old daughter, had just left home to visit her grandmother when the driver ran a red light and slammed into her red car at high speed, pushing both vehicles through a wall. Cano was killed in the crash. She had been caring for her younger siblings after the death of their mother. Her death occurred on her birthday. The driver was arrested and charged with multiple crimes including vehicular manslaughter.

On March 27, 2025, Tullahoma Police officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant for sexual assault on a minor on 58-year-old Thomas Hackworth at his business on West Lincoln Street. Upon arrival, officers heard gunshots and entered the premises, finding Hackworth deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the roof of his mouth. Evidence indicated that a round had also been fired in the general direction of officers but was stopped when it impacted a vehicle. The incident is under investigation by the Tullahoma Police Department and the District Attorney's office.

St. Joseph Police responded to a disturbance call near 14th Street and Mulberry Street around 10:30 a.m. Officers encountered a man who allegedly displayed a firearm. Police opened fire and killed him. No officers were injured. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the shooting.
