OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On April 16, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a Ferguson Police Department officer exited a QuikTrip gas station in the 10700 block of West Florissant Avenue and heard gunshots. The officer observed a man shooting at another man near the gas pumps. The officer fired his service weapon at the shooter. One man collapsed near the gas pumps, while the other ran onto West Florissant Avenue before collapsing. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the men knew each other and had arrived at the gas station together. A handgun was recovered at the scene. The St. Louis County Police Department's Crimes Against Persons Unit is leading the investigation.
