OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 01/22/2024, a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper "observed" Kia passenger car speeding. The officer "followed and observed" during which activity, the vehicle accelerated to 104 mph on Interstate 95 Northbound attempted to exit at Brogden Road (Exit 93) near Smithfield, North Carolina. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the left and struck several trees. All four occupants were killed in the crash.

The driver, Alan Lee Lockamy, 17, of Archer Lodge, and the front passenger, Freddy Seras, 17, of Clayton, were entrapped in the vehicle. The two rear passengers, Semaj Lejai Williams, 16, and Christopher Wayne Jackson Jr., 17, both of Smithfield, were ejected from the car upon impact. All four were pronounced dead at the scene.
