On 06/23/2024, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a domestic violence incident at the 5700 block of Etiwanda Avenue in Los Angeles. Upon arrival, Marlon Jimenez, 45, locked himself inside his residence. After a prolonged standoff involving LAPD SWAT, officers breached the home and found Jimenez under a mattress with a ligature around his neck. Police reported that he had taken his own life under the stress of the situation.
