On March 8, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Milwaukee Police Department officers responded to a report of an entry into a business near 32nd Street and Lancaster Avenue. A caller reported that a man fired a gun in their direction. Officers searched the area and located two men near 37th Street and Lancaster Avenue. During the encounter, police stated that a 41-year-old man was armed and did not comply with commands to drop his weapon. An officer opened fire, killing him. Officers recovered a firearm at the scene. A second man, 34, was taken into custody.
The officer involved is a 43-year-old with more than 10 years of service and was placed on administrative duty, which is standard procedure. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is handling the case, with the Wauwatosa Police Department leading the investigation.

The Arkansas Department of Corrections K-9 team assisted in the search for Blair near Twin Groves, Arkansas. During the apprehension attempt, Blair was fatally shot by DOC officers. On 03/06/2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers from the Frisco Police Department attempted to serve felony arrest warrants at a residence in the 5400 block of Travis Drive in Frisco, Texas. During the operation, shots were fired, and Dylan Sheppard, 43, was killed. No officers were injured. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation. On March 6, 2025, at approximately 7:25 PM, Nathan Kinney, a 27-year-old inmate at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center in Cleveland, Ohio, collapsed during recreational activities. Jail staff and medical personnel responded immediately, providing medical aid before transporting him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Kinney had been incarcerated since December 28, 2024, on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary, following his arrest by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an investigation to determine the cause and manner of his death.

On 03/05/2025, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Hudson police responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 1600 block of Namekagon Street. An officer contacted a man by phone, who made concerning statements suggesting potential danger within the home and threatened to provoke officers into shooting him. After several hours of negotiation, the man exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Upon searching the home, officers discovered a deceased woman inside. The identities of both individuals and the cause of the woman's death have not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.

On 03/04/2025, police began searching for 23-year-old Shamar Summerall after he was identified as the shooter in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Mariah Sanders outside the 444 Park Apartments in Richmond Heights, Ohio. Witnesses reported that Summerall followed Sanders before shooting her multiple times. A baby was found unharmed near Sanders.
After an extensive search by multiple law enforcement agencies, including U.S. Marshals, Summerall was located early the next morning at Mayfield Heights City Park. As officers approached, he died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
