OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On June 17, 2024, a fatal crash occurred in Logansport, Indiana, following a police pursuit. A Cass County deputy attempted to stop a 2019 Jeep Compass for speeding on State Road 29, south of Logansport. The driver fled, leading the deputy southward into Carroll County. Just before County Road 600 North, the driver lost control, veering off the road, striking a tree, and rolling over. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner. The identity of the individual who died has not been released. The incident is under investigation by the Indiana State Police.
