Bakersfield PD attempted to traffic-stop a vehicle in the 1900 block of Tulare. The vehicle did not stop and police escalated a chase. The vehicle stopped and a man fled on foot. Police deployed drones and found him in a nearby backyard. The man died during suicide during the manhunt. Police only explained that the man failed a traffic stop and it is unknown why police escalated this intense manhunt for the stated reasons.
