Knox County deputies were sent to a residence in the 3200 block of Denver Lane of Knoxville for a domestic disturbance. Police allege they found Matthew Logan Rose around a home where he was not supposed to be per protective order. Police allege he was holding a gun and Knox County deputy Tucker Blakely shot and killed him. Rose fired a shot and hit Blakely. Both men died.

Denver PD arrived at a residence in the 1400 block of 116th Avenue for yet undisclosed reasons. They found local residents holding a man. Denver PD fired a taser at the man during attempted arrest, then fired a gun, killing the man. Nothing further has been released thus far and the man’s identity and reason for the police encounter are still unknown and will be updated in this space as details become known.

Police were called to a medical emergency with a man having a diabetic reaction. Police fired a taser at the stricken man who died en route to the hospital. Various diabetic states commonly produce confused and combative states and such situations should be addressed by trained medical staff, not police with deadly weapons.

Springfield PD responded to an active shooter call at the Sangamon County Juvenile Detention Center in Springfield. Police arrived and shot and killed a 17-year-old.

Detention officer Brenden James Smith was deer-hunting with a bow and arrow and shot and injured a deer. The deer fled to his neighbor’s land, Mike Houser’s property, and the animal died there. Smith allegedly trespassed onto the property after the deer and the 2 neighbors got into a heated argument that ended when officer Smith shot and killed Houser at or near his home. The officer has not been charged so far. He is an officer for the Avery County Sheriff’s Office. Officer Brendan Smith is on paid leave now while the NC State Bureau of Investigations has been tasked with the investigation.

Independence PD in Oregon initiated a high-risk car chase near Salem but has not disclosed why they escalated the chase that ended in the death of one person. Police allegedly tried to make a traffic stop on a car that did not stop for them. Police set up spike strips. The vehicle stopped and a man ran from the car, apparently trying to get into another vehicle when Independence PD caught up with him. Police allege that the man fired a shot at them, injuring an officer. They shot and killed him. The officer is expected to recover.

Per police narrative, Siosifa Militoni allegedly tried to enter into a residence and a neighbor called police. Deputy Albert Johnson of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was sent on a call about an upset woman who was kicking her neighbor’s door to find his wife. It is unknown what the upset was. Samantha Belk was a homeowner having some sort of spat with her neighbor. Police arrived and she retreated to her home. It is unknown why police insisted on pursuing her into her home and what police said to provoke her when she was inside of her home but she allegedly used profane language toward police and she allegedly said she had a gun. Houston PD ‘s Special Investigations Unit conducting a “crime suppression investigation” allegedly “saw something on social media that concerned them” and went to an apartment on Bennington in North Houston. When they arrived, they found Floyd Young, shooting a music video with an “assault style weapon” and immediately opened fire, killing him. Police claim that Floyd Young pointed a rifle at them.

A number of eyewitnesses emphatically insist that he was commonly shooting rap videos while posing with weapons. He had allegedly announced on FB that he would shoot another video. Police allegedly saw a teenager with a rifle on FB and stormed the house, killing him, while he was posing with weapons during the shoot of a music video which he had done many times before. Eyewitnesses were adamant that he was no threat to anyone when shot and killed during the filming.

Idabel PD were called to a domestic violence situation where a person refused to come out of the home, was besieged by Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Choctaw Nation Lighthorse PD and SWAT. They finally shot and killed him. The victim may have been Native American as tribal police were involved along with other law enforcement agencies.

MCCURTAIN COUNTY’S 2023 RACIST SCANDAL:

In April of 2023, Sheriff Kevin Clardy, of the same sheriff’s office that participated in this latest killing, and one of his investigators and a county commissioner were recorded by a local newspaper of lamenting no longer being able to hang black people and kill reporters.
Gov. Kevin Stitt pro forma asked Sheriff Clardy to resign. Sheriff Clardy seemed to feel no remorse and instead, his only response was a defiant statement that the recording had been illegally made. Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond later announced that an investigation found no legal grounds to move forward with a process to force Clardy from office. Sheriff Clardy sat it out and refused to step down.
On April 18, the Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association released a statement saying the board of directors held an emergency meeting to discuss recent events in McCurtain County. The board voted unanimously to suspend the following people from the organization: Sheriff Kevin Clardy, Investigator Alicia Manning, and Trust Administrator Larry Hendrix.
On May 21, 2023, another racist incident occurred in tiny McCurtain County. Jerry Neal Pollard, an off-duty in McCurtain County deputy was arrested after it was discovered that he had been off-duty and had raced into the parking lot of steel-distributing company Alford metals in Idabel at high speed, pointed a rifle at an employee and yelled: “Run, N-----, Run!” The officer was released for a paltry $15,000 bond and the aftermath, if there is any, is not immediate known.

Grundy County deputies shot and killed Alivia A. Schwab on 09/29/2023 at 11:23 a.m. during a mental health crisis when she needed help. She was on the phone with her mental health counselor when police arrived, saw her holding a 9-inch kitchen knife in the parking lot with alleged intention of self-harming. Officer Pampinella instructed Officer Price to use a taser but Officer price pulled his gun and shot her in the face, then shot her two more times, killing her. She was a mother of 3 children who are left to pick up the pieces of a police shooting that could quite likely have been avoided with a professional mental health response. Grundy County deputies shot and killed Alivia A. Schwab on 09/29/2023 at 11:23 a.m. during a mental health crisis when she needed help. Her family stated the shooting was mental-health related. Her death was ruled a homicide. No officers were charged so far.

Cops are debunking the lies of other cops in the murder of Stephen Clay Perkins. Initially, DPD said and ALEA had parroted the statements that Perkins had pointed ‘a handgun which was also equipped with a light’ at officers. It is not confirmed or denied whether this claim still stands or not. Police Chief Perkins said that “inaccurate information” was shared in the initial rush to release information to the public. The story began with Decatur PD making the above claims, echoed by ALEA, then backpedaled again by Decatur PD. There must be an interesting Internal Investigation going on.

Decatur PD had initially claimed that their officers had ordered Perkins to "drop the weapon." Decatur PD now admit they skipped the "drop the weapon" part. They still maintain that their officers yelled "drop to the ground" before firing. or during firing. or perhaps after firing? The stories are very vague and the PD has admitted having made very serious false and game-changing statements. The full statement by Decatur PD is linked as top link below.

The murder of Stephen Clay Perkins is mired in controversy, coverup and a contested police narrative. Enclosed are both versions, first the official police narrative explaining what led them to kill Stephen Clay Perkins, followed by eyewitness/neighbor and family statements, also statements by family attorneys and ongoing updates on this case.

POLICE NARRATIVE OF EVENTS:
A tow truck operator was tasked to repossess a vehicle and claims that the owner pulled a gun on them. Towing called Decatur PD who arrived at the home on Ryan Drive and Poole Valley Road together with the tow truck operator. Police allege that the man again pulled a gun. Decatur PD shot and killed him during an erroneous vehicle repo without giving him the ability to respond and without investigating and finding their gross errors (wrong address) before shooting to kill.

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT:
Neighbor Justin Shepherd told media that police bullets hit his house and narrowly missed him while he was sleeping in his bed. He added that he had been a war veteran from the Iraq war but had never feared for his life as much as he did that night at home in Decatur, AL when police executed his neighbor and sprayed his home with bullets. COMMUNITY ACTION:
Since the murder of Stephen Clay Perkins, numerous protests have been organized in Decatur, AL. Calls for the firing and arrest of the shooter officer as well as calls for the mayor to step down echoed throughout Decatur. Attorney Lee Merritt uses #itsonus to post on the Perkins case.

On 10/10/2023, Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling, under public pressure to resign, announced he would not resign but compromised and announced he would not seek re-election for a third term, citing the Stephen Clay Perkins case as reason.

PERSONAL STATEMENT FROM FAMILY ATTORNEY LEE MERRITT on October 4, 2023:
"THEY AMBUSHED HIM! ➡️Steve Perkins went to his front yard to investigate why the dog was barking in the early morning hours of Friday September 29, 2023. You can see him appear in the top right hand corner of the second slide shining a flashlight.

What he didn’t know was that a tow truck driver had conspired with several officers to quietly surround his property. This was, in fact, why his dog was barking.

In a matter of seconds the men hidden in the dark surrounding his property revealed themselves and simultaneously opened fire. He never had a chance to surrender. Officers didn’t announce their presence until the very last moment. Steve was committing no crime. Officers surrounding Steven in his front yard fired over a dozen rounds striking him seven times— killing him. They later discovered the attempted repossession was a mistake.

Our office has been retained to represent the Perkins family. We will join members of the community tomorrow in Decatur, Alabama for a vigil.

FAMILY/LAWYER STATEMENT OF EVENTS:
The family strongly denies police allegations and the family’s lawyer released the following statement: “As the Publicist of the Perkins family, this memorandum serves as a statement on the tragic murder of Stephen (Steve) Clay Perkins. It is heartbreaking for Clay Perkin’s wife, children, and family to go through this traumatizing loss without much detail or explanation. The most respectful way for the City of Decatur, Alabama and Decatur Alabama Police Department to respond to this tragedy is with proactivity, and ultimately, transparency when communicating with the family and the Decatur City Community.
It has been rumored that an investigation is taking place, but the City of Decatur has failed to contact the family or acknowledge the incident pertaining to Clay’s death with the family. The family has not received footage of Clay’s deadly encounter from the City of Decatur’s police department or Alabama Law Enforcement Department. Moreover, neither agencies have taken the moment to acknowledge Clay’s death with the family.
Clay’s family and community is owed that closure immediately. It saddens us the City of Decatur failed to offer condolences, pay respect, or notify Mrs. Catrela Perkins (Clay’s Wife) or the family of Clay Perkins upon Decatur Police Department use of excessive force and murder of Clay Perkins.
The city retains body cameras which should have been in use during the incident. The family is calling for the city to deliver the footage to the family. In the meantime, surveillance exists of the incident through home security cameras. The unjust excessive amount of force can be seen in the home surveillance footage.
Rumors have circulated regarding Decatur Police Department’s statement stigmatizing Clay as combative or aggressive, causing rage in marginalized communities across Alabama. This was not the character of Clay Perkins. Clay was a family-oriented young black man thriving for excellence.
While there are a lot of rumors circulating, the family has found financial receipts proving Clay’s monthly payments were processed through his financing company and no evidence of Clay’s vehicle being in an active status of repossession, therefore indicating, the Towing Company and City of Decatur Police Department wrongfully appeared at Clay’s home.
The family has also gained a clear understanding of the excessive amount of force used by Decatur Alabama Police Department with seven wounds to Clay’s body during this encounter with the wrong person and a neighbor home with about nine bullet entry marks located on his home.
In this memorandum, the family is demanding a thorough investigation of the encounter held at Clay’s home on the morning of 29 September 2023. We are calling actions of justice to be served. We are calling for the removal of officers who entered Clay’s home the morning of the event, removal of officers using excessive force, and answers of justice from the city. We do not call for administrative leave of officers involved also known as a “free vacation”.
The family has chosen not to go into detail with media at this time as the unexpected death of Clay has been overbearing and would not like to jeopardize legalities processes or procedures.
As of now, all appropriate measures to ensure justice is served are being taken by the family. While there is no monetary amount that will justify the unjust lost of Clay, we will stand firmly with prominent legal representation on our side until justice is served.

Rockingham County deputies saw a vehicle with front end damage that was also missing an inspection sticker and they escalated a chase. The driver fled and deputies chased the vehicle into Hampton where the Greenland PD joined the hunt. George Curtis was wanted in Georgia for aggravated child rape and a host of related charges. He was located by US Marshals in Columbia, SC. Agents engaged in a shootout with him. Police allege that he jumped out of the window and shot and killed himself. Two US Marshals were also injured.

On 09/28/2023, a woman arrived at the Bedford PD station to file a harassment charge against a 47-year-old male named Daymon A. Hubbard who was allegedly stalking and harassing her. The man had reportedly followed her to the police station. Police canvassed the area and located him, escalated a high-speed chase during which his vehicle collided with a patrol car. Three Bedford PD officers fired on him simultaneously with an unknown number of bullets, killing him.

A homeowner called police about a man acting erratically in her backyard. Police arrived and subdued and handcuffed him and noticed he became unresponsive and died. The coroner performed an autopsy and determined that there was no external injury and is awaiting toxicology tests. It is believed but still unconfirmed that this may have been an in-custody drug overdose death.

A still unnamed DOC corrections officer was killed and a second parole officer was injured.

Colorado issued a “Blue Alert” manhunt and arrested Justin Kula several hours later. A Blue Alert is issued when a law enforcement officer is killed, suffered serious bodily injury, or is missing while in the line of duty and law enforcement calls for a state-wide manhunt after the person who harmed any member of police.

Arkansas State Police engaged in a high-speed chase after two people who they felt were involved in a shooting in another county. The chase began in Crittenden County, spanned across Poinsett County and ended in Cross County where police placed spike strips on Highway 75. Police state that the two people fired shots at them and that police shot back. Police shot and killed Tammi Naler, 47, and injured 54-year-old William Burchett.

Charleston County deputies arrived at a domestic shooting call and found that Ernest Burbage III had apparently shot and injured his girlfriend and a passenger in a passing car with a shot. Deputies called SWAT and escalated a manhunt. The girlfriend was able to tell police that they had been drinking and that things had gotten out of hand. Police saw Burbage at a home nearby and began hunting him with a Lenco BearCat and a large police presence. SWAT began firing at Burbage from the BearCat and he shot back, injuring a SWAT officer and killing a police K9.

Police have not disclosed how he died during their manhunt, only that he was found dead ad on St. Johns Island from unknown causes during an intense manhunt after him.

West Allis PD received a call about a domestic disturbance in a household that had previously had noisy arguments. They arrived, saw a man, allege he was holding a knife and shot and killed an unnamed 36-year-old man. The man was not accused of using a knife or threatening anyone with it prior to police arrival. So far, only the police narrative exists and no eyewitness family or other statements or videos can be located to compare to official police statements. One neighbor reported waking up to “rapid fire gunshots”, presumably from police semiautomatic weapons.

Special detectives from the Indiana Crime Gun Task Force held an “operation to get guns off the street” which includes the Indiana State Police . They followed a vehicle in which Damon Graves Jr. seen. He was wanted for a parole violation. Police allege that they traffic-stopped him and claim he exited the vehicle with a weapon. At least 3 detectives shot and killed him. Police also shot up a rug-cleaning business in the process which had at least 7 bullet holes visible in the building. Body-worn cameras, an ISP dash cam, and a drone with video were utilized during the incident.

Makayla Hankins was a newlywed mother who had just gotten married 2 weeks prior. She was a third-party motorists was driving through the intersection of East 10th Street and Mitthoefer Road when she was hit and killed by a police car chase. She had worked at a local Walmart together with her husband.

Indianapolis PD had attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle that kept driving. IMPD chased a vehicle up to 140 mph and then police allegedly called it off after escalating it to high risk and the vehicle crashed, T-boning Makayla's vehicle, killing both drivers and a passenger including a total of 2 third party motorists who were hit by the police chase crash. Miami-Dade PD located a vehicle they felt to have been stolen in a carjacking and escalated a chase. Police allege that one of the passengers fired shots at them and they shot back. The driver lost control of the vehicle and Miami-Dade PD shot and killed the passenger. He has not been named yet.

Captain John Randolph succumbed to injuries he received when he fell while working as a school resource officer at the Ringling High School football game.

He was escorting a teacher carrying the gate money at the school's varsity football game at about 8:00 pm. He tripped on wood debris and fell forward onto a wood pile. He was transported to a nearby hospital and ultimately airlifted to Medical City Hospital in Denton, Texas, where he died from internal injuries three days later.

Arkansas State Police saw a BMW with invalid or fake tags and escalated a high-speed chase. Arkansas State Police admits attacking the vehicle with a PIT maneuver at 120 mph. Experts have warned that PIT maneuvers are commonly fatal at speeds above 35 mph. Considering this high-speed attack, Arkansas State Police likely meant to kill the driver. Byron Brown predictably crashed and died after the PIT attack.
