Sergio Pino was a well known high-end developer who was under FBI investigation for a murder for hire. The target had been his wife while they were in the process of a divorce. He was accused of hiring a murder crew with plans to kill her with fentanyl. Another crew had pointed guns at her. Arson was also tried. The FBI became aware and arrived with warrants. Flashbangs were heard and the FBI was seen carrying out electronics, safes and three boxes of documents. Sergio Pino died from suicide under police duress during the raid. He had been the largest latino builder in the country and the founder of Century Homebuilders Group and a high-profile Miami-Dade County builder and significant political donor to conservative Republican causes for decades.
