OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Houston PD investigated a possibly stolen car, walked up to car, ordered the driver out. The man was defensive and did not want to exit. The officer began a fight when the man refused. The officer produced a taser and the passenger in Thompson’s car took the taser but did not use it. During the fight, the officer shot Thompson in the shoulder. Thompson later died in the hospital from injuries.
