On March 28, 2025, around 9:45 p.m., Cuyahoga County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for erratic driving on East 9th Street in Cleveland. The driver, 24-year-old Nigel Wayne Perry, did not stop. Deputies escalated a pursuit onto Interstate 90. At the Eddy Road exit, Perry’s vehicle collided with a second vehicle. The impact caused the second car to fall off the bridge and catch fire. Perry's vehicle also caught fire, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the other vehicle was ejected and transported to University Hospital. The case is under investigation.

Marin County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a driver for reckless driving in San Rafael. The driver refused to stop. The Greensboro Police Department notified Carroll County deputies about a man wanted in connection with a shooting in North Carolina. Kenneth Edward Bailey, the rapper known as Young Scooter, died on March 28, 2025—his 39th birthday—following a police pursuit in southeast Atlanta. A 43-year-old man was found unconscious and unresponsive inside a holding cell at Manhattan Criminal Court at 100 Centre Street on the morning of March 26, 2025. On March 23, 2025, Christian Black was arrested by Englewood police after allegedly crashing a stolen vehicle on Interstate 70, following a robbery in Beavercreek. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail around 6 a.m. On March 24, at approximately 1:50 a.m., jail staff found Black unresponsive in his cell. Upon opening the cell door, Black reportedly leapt up and engaged in a physical altercation with multiple corrections officers and deputies. Staff used a Taser to subdue him, after which he was treated by medical staff and placed in a cell for monitoring. Later that morning, Black allegedly began striking his head against his cell door. Staff intervened, leading to another struggle where pepper spray and a Taser were used before restraining him in a chair. While awaiting medical transport, Black's condition deteriorated, and he went into cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital on March 26. The Dayton Police Department and the Montgomery County Coroner's Office are investigating the incident. Black's family has expressed concerns regarding the circumstances of his death and is conducting their own investigation.

Arkansas State Police chased a white Dodge Ram after the driver, Torkilo Hambrick, failed to stop for a traffic violation near mile marker 173. Police escalated the chase along Interstate 40 at speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour. Near mile marker 191, an Arkansas State Police trooper conducted a PIT maneuver—a tactic known to be potentially lethal at speeds above 35 mph—causing the truck to overturn and crash. Laterrika Woods, the 29-year-old sister of Memphis rapper Big Boogie, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was ejected during the crash and died at the scene. Two other passengers were seriously injured. Louis Michael Hill, 26, of Rogersville, was shot and killed after robbing a PNC Bank in Florence and fleeing in a vehicle. Florence Police and Lauderdale County deputies pursued Hill onto Highway 72. His vehicle became disabled near County Road 323. Hill exited and attempted to carjack another vehicle while armed. He opened fire on police, and officers shot and killed him. A Florence firefighter, Grace McClusky, was struck by gunfire after stopping to assist at the crash. One officer was also injured. Both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating.

On March 25, 2025, a man forced entry into a home in Upper Saucon Township. The incident was related to an ongoing custody dispute. Police responded and a standoff followed. The man shot himself before police could take him into custody. No officers fired weapons. His identity was not released.

Cedrick Turner, 49, died on March 25, 2025, in a single-vehicle crash during a police chase. Thomas County deputies were pursuing Turner after a hit-and-run incident in Colquitt County. The chase reached speeds of 100 mph. Near Thomas County Middle School on Highway 319 North, deputies attempted to disable Turner’s vehicle. He lost control, was ejected, and was transported to Archbold Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Turner was not wearing a seatbelt.

On March 25, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., 53-year-old inmate Michael Anthony Johnson suffered a medical emergency at the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham, Alabama. Jail medical staff responded immediately, and Johnson was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:10 p.m. Johnson had been booked into the jail on March 21, 2025, on charges of third-degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into his death, and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death.

On March 25, 2025, at approximately 3:15 a.m., 40-year-old Adam Mansour was found unresponsive in a cell at the Marion County Jail in Salem, Oregon. Jail staff immediately initiated CPR and other lifesaving measures; however, their efforts were unsuccessful, and Mansour was pronounced dead. He had been booked into the jail on March 20, 2025, on charges of burglary and interfering with making a report. The cause and manner of his death are currently under investigation, with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office leading the inquiry as an external agency.

On March 25, 2025, a man suspected of robbing a bank on Cox Creek Parkway in Florence, Alabama, was killed during a shootout with law enforcement after a vehicle chase. Officers had been called earlier in the day for a welfare check due to concerns over the man’s mental health. The man fled and allegedly shot at officers during the pursuit. He struck a Florence officer in the shoulder and also injured a female bystander. Both the officer and the woman were hospitalized in stable condition. On March 24, 2025, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force attempted to apprehend 23-year-old Willie Joe Larry-Purdiman, who was wanted for failing to appear on weapons charges. Upon locating him in a vehicle near the 7900 block of Baseline Road in Little Rock, Larry-Purdiman exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward a nearby gas station. During the pursuit, he fired multiple shots at officers. Officers returned fire, striking Larry-Purdiman. He was pronounced dead. One officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released from the hospital. No civilians were injured. The Arkansas State Police is investigating.

The chase concluded when Roach crashed off Little Creek Road near Old Winfield Road in Wadesboro. Upon reaching the vehicle, deputies discovered Mianna deceased from a gunshot wound and Roach critically injured from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. Roach was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries on March 27, 2025. Authorities believe Roach shot his daughter during the pursuit before attempting suicide. The incident is under investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

On March 24, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., custody deputies at the Northern Branch Jail in Santa Maria discovered 57-year-old inmate Caprice Fowler unresponsive in her four-person cell. Despite life-saving efforts, Fowler was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy determined that she died of acute peritonitis due to a ruptured gastric ulcer, and her death was classified as natural causes. Fowler had been in custody since March 19, 2025, following her arrest on a felony no-bail warrant related to firearm and ammunition possession charges, and was subsequently charged with felony animal cruelty on March 21, 2025. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is conducting an administrative investigation and will provide information to the Santa Barbara County Grand Jury for independent review.
