OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
At 6:53 a.m., police received an initial 911 call about a subject with a firearm pointing at vehicles near Ligon Magnet Middle School. Raleigh PD searched the area which is less than one mile from the school. When they found Jorge Luis Vega Lesama in the 700 block of Cumberland, he allegedly fired five shots at officers. Raleigh PD officers R.A. Sirianna and M.L. Adams shot and killed him. He was shot seven times.
