OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Zachery Hoffman allegedly ran a red light and when a deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, he fled with 2 passengers in the vehicle. Police allege that he fired shots at them. Police used stop sticks and were able to stop the vehicle. Eventually police fired at the vehicle, striking Hoffman and killing him. Police allege that during the chase, he had been firing at them.The Jackson Police Department’s SWAT team also participated.
