Police were called to an armed disturbance. Officers claim that the man refused to drop his weapon and was tasered. William Foxx Blakely allegedly pointed a gun at officers and was shot and killed.
Officers initially only tasered him while he allegedly held a gun which suggests he may not have been too aggressive as he could have shot police during the taser attack. It is unclear why police escalated the event to a fatal shooting.
