On August 18, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Denver Police Department officers responded to reports of a man threatening to harm himself near the intersection of W. Arkansas Avenue and S. Knox Court. Upon arrival, officers identified the man as 30-year-old Aldo Villa-Ceballos, who was holding a firearm.

Villa-Ceballos turned the gun on himself and fired. Officers called for medical assistance. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
