eremy Fowler was in Illinois' Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge where he operated and owned one Airbnb and was set to open a second in April. Williamson County deputies responded to a call for service on Devil’s Fork Road, near Carbondale in Williamson County.
Fowler, carrying a weapon, began approaching the deputy as he exited his patrol vehicle. The deputy shot and killed Fowler.
