OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Long Beach PD responded to the 2100 block of Williams Street just before 10 a.m. Wednesday 05/31/2023 for reports of gunfire, found evidence of a shooting and believed the person locked himself inside a nearby building. Officers surrounded the area and the building was evacuated and/or residents were told to shelter in place. Several hours later, police state the person had committed suicide under police duress.
